The historic street in the French Quarter of New Orleans....Bourbon Street
Just spend time on Bourbon Street during Mardi Gras and you will see every type of celebrations. This is the heart of the French Quarter and it extends over 13 blocks. Dating back to the 1700s, this bustling nightlife spot is well known for its bars, clubs and restaurants. And of course, the annual Mardi Gras celebrations. And it's legal to consume alcohol on the streets of New Orleans.....what else would you expect?
This 2009 oil painting is currently in my retrospective exhibition "Observation Stories: The Wild Years" at the Ormond Memorial Art Museum in Ormond Beach, Florida until October 15, 2023.
